Kiev was the capital of Kiev Rus – the powerful state and homeland of the Ukrainian and Russian Orthodoxy. The city is situated on the banks of the Dnieper River. The officially accepted date of Kiev “birth”  is 482 AD According to a legend, Kyiv was founded by three brothers – Kyi, Schek and Horyv and their sister Lybid, whose names have become  a part of the spirit of Kiev. In 998 Duke Vladimir made Christianity the official state religion of Kiev Rus.
Kiev is the cradle of the two Slavic languages – Russian and Ukrainian.  For the moment 100% of the population in the capital of Ukraine understands Russian. This is a unique place where you will be understood equally well, whether you choose to communicate in Russian or in Ukrainian

ukrainian natureRussian language is one of the most developed and widespread in the world – it is a part of the Slavic group, and is one of the six official UN languages. It is used by 290 million people in the former republics of the USSR, the USA, Canada, Israel, Germany and other countries, 160 million from them consider Russian to be their native language.  A well-known classic writer Ivan Turgenev named the Russian language as a “great and mighty.” Indeed, this language differs from the others with a large lexical diversity.
Teachers in colleges and universities of Kiev, who hold classes for English-speaking students , are highly qualified, have extensive experience  and are native speakers.

Duration of studying at the preparatory department is 1 year – 2 semesters. Students study 5 days per week and have 3 lectures daily.
